Plants Can Dance: Tour Dates
Album launch party 28th June in London, other UK tour dates.
In case you missed it, we are releasing the first Plants Can Dance album bringing together a new global community of artists who are making music in direct collaboration with the natural world.
It will be released on 26th June on A State of Flo, and the vinyl package comes with a 28-page mini-book featuring articles and insight from all artists, some academics and technologists who have helped pioneer this new movement.
These include Modern Biology, Dr Helen Anahita Wilson, OMMA (founder of Playtronica), Justin Wiggan in collaboration with Norwegian Jazz legend Arve Henriksen, Dr Augustine Leudar and more.

These Sunday afternoon events have been really fun, and we’d love for you to come down and help us celebrate the launch of the album. Lamine and I will be performing talking through the album, and we’ll have a listening playback too. We’ll start with our customary biosonification workshop where you can try making your own music using some of the readily available devices on the market.
It’ll look something like this - Lamine’s ‘living wall installation’ at his Repot Plant Shop.
Plants Can Dance Tour Dates

Plants Can Dance ‘Zine
As I mentioned, I’ve compiled a 28-page, 7500+ word ‘zine to accompany the release. It features insight from all artists features into their varying creative processes, and also articles on wider topics - ‘ways of listening’, ‘more-than-human' perspectives’ and ‘words of caution’ (on some of the controversy around this music).
The print copies have just arrived so keen to share a few images to get you excited! We’ll share some of the articles on this Substack in due course - a lot to get your teeth stuck into and hopefully start a few conversations.
Much love to Sijya for the design and artwork on this release.
Paid subscribers will get a digital copy of the album and print copy of the zine as part of your subscription. Super supporters will get a copy of the vinyl sent to your home address as soon as we have then and pre-official release.
If you know anyone who is into music and nature - please share this article!
