Paradise 23 out now
The first single from 'Birds Of Paradise'. Tour Dates. Jazz Cafe London info
The first single from ‘Birds Of Paradise’ by Auntie Flo is out now. You can listen and pre-order the album via my Bandcamp, or listen via Spotify and other streaming platforms:
The track is a little slice of tropical paradise in Goa. It begins with field recordings from The Loja near Aldona in the north of the state. I stayed there as part of an artist residency at the wonderful Sultry Mist festival earlier this year, allowing me the inspiration and space to finish the album.
Here’s a little glimpse into the beautiful ‘backyards’ around where I stayed:

London Jazz Cafe Album Launch - 23/10
This is the big one! If you are in London, please grab your ticket for the album launch at the Jazz Cafe - 23.10!
I’m forming a full live band for the first time in 7 years. The last time was when we had the honour of closing the main stage of We Out Here back in 2019 (see the video about for footage!).
I’m forming a super group of sorts - we’ve begun the Visa process to bring Ambasa Mandela over from Kenya to sing Green City (and other new tracks we’ve been working on).
Shhh! Don’t tell anyone but I’ve roped in Sarathy Korwar to drum for us.
I’m coaxing Andrew Ashong out of his semi-retirement too. Fingers crossed…
And Ziggy Funk will of course be joining us on guitar…
Sijya, who I’ve been working with on all the artwork for A State Of Flo, will be wearing her musical hat, flying in from India to perform tracks from her new release, just signed to One Little Independent records, the home of Bjork, no less!
If you are still reading this - please help spread the word. Hopefully see you in London or elsewhere!
Hola , Me Alegro Que Vayas A Estar En Barcelona. Un Saludo.
