Launch Party at Phonica Records
The new Auntie Flo album will be released in under one week - Thursday 21st November. To celebrate we’re hosting a free party at Phonica Records on Poland Street, London - 730-930pm.
As one of the greatest record stores in the world, I’m excited to be celebrating the release with them with a 2 hour, vinyl only set. I’m gonna go deep into my collection, exploring the music that has influenced my five year journey to make the new album.
Back in 2018, we did the same thing for the release of Radio Highlife, my last album on Brownswood Records. It was a roadbloack! It’s BYOB (no glass). Hope you can make it…
Vinyl/Digital Pre-Orders
The vinyl has landed and we have shipped over half the copies we have on Bandcamp already. If you’d like a copy, please pre-order now or risk being disappointed. The Green City single sold out on release day so we’re hoping for more of the same. The package is incredible!
Thanks to my little helper on this video…

WorldwideFM Takeover - 22nd November
I have fond memories of presenting my monthly Radio Highlife show on WorldwideFM between 2017-2020. As it shows signs of creaking back into life, it now focusses on day takeovers and a handful of specialist shows (including the weekly Thursday broadcast by Gilles Peterson).
During the six hour takeover, I’ve assembled a bunch of friends, DJs and musicians that have helped me the album or been inspirations to me over the years, most of whom will be joining me live in the studio - Sarathy Korwar, K.O.G. Joshua Idehen, Hammer, Zozo, Sijya, Orion Agassi, Ziggy Funk, Earth Percent and more... I’m super excited to be on hosting duties all day, and it will give me a chance to tell the story behind each track on the album in full.
Join me for a musical trip :)
Listening Party at Brilliant Corners
I want to thank everyone who came along to the album listening party we hosted at Brilliant Corners last week. The event sold out and it was beautiful. Kate Hutchison did a remarkable job of hosting the event, talking through the story behind each track and wider topics such as self-releasing music, how to cut through when there is so much music being released, artistic processes, migration post-Brexit, cultural appropriation versus appreciation, and this being the greatest comeback of the day (Trump had just won FYI)..Much love also to Mari Kimura for DJing and the whole team at BC for being brilliant.
