“Track Of The Year” - Disco Pogo
“Track Of The Year” - Luke Una
I tend to hate all these ‘end of year’ lists, but it’s remarkable how ones opinion can change when you happen to be featured in a few of them!
Who knows which is the most valid, but some recognition is a nice thing, especially when you consider the sheer volume of tracks released (some estimates put it at over 43 million in the year, that’s 120,000 per day). Can we claim that Green City is one of 2024’s Tracks of the Year? A few folk seem to think so but it’s all just a matter of opinion.
If you missed out the first time, Green City (Extended 12” Version) has been repressed on vinyl! With original copies selling out on release day and now going for over £100 on Discogs, we’ve repressed it with a limited 400 copy run - release date 14th Feb.

This time, we’ve added a brand new Extended Version of Aker The Lion God on the b-side, applying the ‘extended dub formula’ used on Green City to turn this track into a 16 min psychedelic balearic monster, in homage to the late-great proto-acid composer Charanjit Singh. Ransome Note called it:
“Pachanga Boys ‘Time’, but with Soul”
Also included are three club friendly version of tracks from the album - a piano-lead afrohouse version of Bird's Eye View (featuring beautiful live keys by Cyrus Atkinson), a shorter, DJ-friendly version of Aker The Lion God, and a punchy indie-disco cowbell version of Freedom Of Birds (featuring man of the moment Joshua Idehen).
All tracks are taken from Auntie Flo’s 2024 album In My Dreams (I’m a Bird and I’m Free). We have some copies left on our Bandcamp:
It was pleasing to see it also land in Disco Pogo’s top ten albums of the year list:
